I am trying to find out where else this Suganuma saku saku kabocha arare is sold & am a tourist coming to Japan in late March 2014. It was sold at the Mt Fujii 5th station (with the post office in the corner of the station) in 2003 but snow may make it impossible for me to get up there by bus.The package says it's from Yamanashi-ken by a Suganuma company. But I don't know how to get to that location 5201 Shimo Yoshida , Shimo Yoshida-shi in Yamanashi-Ken from Tokyo.
Can anyone please give me instructions to that store in Yamanashi-ken from tokyo? (Using public transportation). And how to get back to tokyo?

Thank you so much for your help!
Can anyone verify they STILL sell the Mt Fujiii 5th station Saku Saku at that store?
Also can someone verify they will be open, on March 27-29, and their hours? I am afraid I will go all the way to that store and they will be closed.

Other than an a name on a map there is no information to be found on the web: no company name, no phone number, nothing. It might either be a tiny company or perhaps it no longer exists.

I can't read/understand the Japanese writing.
What is the address of that Marukyu store?
Is that close to Tokyo? I have only 1 chance to find this.
Is there a ph number I can call when I get to Japan to verify that the saku saku is sold at that store?
thank you for your help.

Marukyu is a distributor located in Gunma prefecture at the following address:
〒379-1303 群馬県利根郡みなかみ町上牧802-2
〒 379-1303 Gunma Minakami-machi, Tone-gun Uemaki 802-2 It's a 10-minute walk from JR Joetsu Line Uemaki Station
They do online/phone sales and that item is in stock. Perhaps you could order it for delivery to your hotel in Japan? Delivery time is 3-5 days. Phone # for orders is 0120-41-3709, office phone is 0278-72-6157. Maybe they can tell you where it can be purchased in the Tokyo area.
It must be really good.

Your tip is the best so far. It is delicious and if you ever get to try it you must. I have had it once in 2003 and 2006. Its a must try item and then you will be hooked too.
I am emailing the Marukyu store to ask them for more assistance. thank you very very much!

Great news to report! The Marukyu company reference provided last week proved fruitful! They are a distributorin Gunma Prefecture of the Mt. Fujii 5th station Kabocha saku saku (from Yamanashi) (no Tokyo distribution) but will do a courier delivery to Tokyo.
Thank you very much to all for your assistance to help me! Mahalo!!!

Success! The courier delivered my 30 bags of Kabocha saku saku as promised & it was super yummy as I had remembered over 10 years ago!
Many heartfelt thanks for taking the time to find a way for me to live my dream again....without the trek & expense of going all the way out to Fujii san. Food creates a memory & to relive that often times doesn't live up to our dreams!
Thank you for making mine come true...to all you angels!
