Will Mandarake buy my anime artbooks? 2014/4/7 06:27
I plan to take some of my old artbooks (mint condition, packed in plastic) to sell to Mandarake when I visit Japan this May.

I read on a few threads though that you need to provide Japanese residency for them to buy your stuff. Is this correct?

Has there been any tourists who were able to sell stuff at Mandarake?

You need to provide Japanese residency to sell your stuff. No need to provide when you buy from shops.
You need provide Zairyu-card(formally Gaijin-card) with your Japanese address and date of birth are clearly printed when you sell at mandarake or Book-off or any other secondhand shops. It was alright until about 10 years ago without providing your ID.
