hello, what's the meaning of "ちゃんと帰らないでいてくれた"
also, what is exactly the meaning of chanto? it always confuses me because it supposed to mean 'correctly' but i don't understand it when it's used in sintences like this one...

In this case, ちゃんと means "faithfully".
faithfully -ちゃんと
you are staying/waiting for me - いてくれた
without going home - 帰らないで
and it looks there is a promise to wait in advance.

Yes, just to add to ajapaneseboy's answer, this "chanto" is "properly," "as expected," "as properly (as you should)." So the whole sentence as a whole means "You stayed with/waited for me without going home, as you promised" or "you stayed with/waited for me as I hoped you would." :)
