Attached are amazon japan links, however I can't understand japanese. Which brand is the best. I'm planning to make tea and ice cream out of it.
抹茶 - matcha

houjicha -
roasted green tea leaf-brownish/roasted after taste
matcha - grounded/powder steam green tea leaf -
green(basically this is what people call Green Tea'
.. most tidbits/sweets use matcha powder to give it the green tea look and flavour.
also it is use for japanese tea ceremony, bitter taste and often taken with traditional sweets
brands is just a matter of taste/flavour and money..
