Europe to Japan adapter plug

Hi
I thought that the japanese outlet is 2 flat pins. Would the following adapter work? It did indicate it will work in Japan but I am confused as it has 3 pins.

At the very bottom it says output is not compatible in Japan. In Japan, as you say, it is 2-pin (that 3-pin minus the pin in the middle).

It will work in some places but not everywhere. You can buy any sort of adapter in while you are in Japan should it not work the place you are staying. Yamada Denki and Yodobashi Camera have all of them at a price around 300 yen.

Ah, AK it absolutely right, in the hurry I didn't see the shape probably of the third pin.
