How do you type Japanese 2014/7/3 23:29
In the edit word menu, I am able to type words without small letters such as sakura by typing

'sa' + 'ku' + 'ra'

which works fine, but when typing words with small letters such as the small 'yu' in chyugoku, I am drawing a blank. Does anyone know how to use this thing?

You seem to have left out the most important part of your question. Namely what this "thing" is you are trying to use to type Japanese.

If you are asking how to enter the word "chyugoku" or "Chugoku" (in Hepburn style romaji) to get the word ちゅうごく (converted to kanji: 中国, China), what I do is hit "chu" to get ちゅ, "u" to get う, "go" ご "ku" く.

Is this what you mean?
