Gifts as a thank you for party 2014/10/3 06:39
I'm working in Japan as an English teacher. My birthday was last week and as a surprise 3 of my students threw me a surprise party. I really liked it. Would it be appropriate to buy them each a small gift as a thank you? What kind of gifts should I get? All 3 are married women in their 30s.

Thanks.

You may want to give them something on their birthday, I think?
Or cookie or cake you made. I often ladeis talk like this.
"Thank you for the other day, I had fun! By the way, I made cookies, if you please..."
