Neighborhoods places in Tokyo

I would like to visit some of the local neighborhoods in Tokyo that are like Meguro and Kagurazaka. I know there are many but I just do not know where they are located. I am staying in the west Shinjinko area. Where are your favorite local neighborhoods?

Classical bldgs locate in various places in Tokyo include Shinjuku.
I would recommend you to visit Hogo, Sendagi, Sengoku and Nedu area in Bunkyo-ku.

I think you can walk from "Hongo-sanchome station" of Tokyo metro and Toei-Oedo line from Shinjuku.
But you do need to walk from the station quite long distance because the sites are not located in one place.
University of Tokyo, Hongo Campus is another classic and famous bldgs in Tokyo.
