Japanese Drumming 2015/3/11 08:17
Hi, we will be in Japan the next weeks and would like to see Japanese drumming. Does anybody have an idea where we could see it or where we could get information about it?
I would be very happy about your ideas!

If you're in Tokyo on March 19 or March 20, there are performances of kodo in Yokohama.

Hey thank you very much for your links! The performances of kodo look very interesting but we will be in Japan from 21. so we will miss it... If there are other shows like that around Kyoto in the time from 21.-24. of march or arounf Tokyo beginning of April it would be great to know. Are there Websites where I can find shows in different areas?
The other link is also interesting. What did you fill in the Formular to get it because when I only see your link I cant see the price of the tour. The other link is just that you can buy druns there, right?
Thank you very much for your help!

The other in April 4 and April 5 There seems to be a performance at Zenkoji in Nagano.
This seems to be free.

At the end of March there is a workshop in Niigata Sado Island.

Home of Kodo in Sado Island, perhaps, is the most famous drum of the population in Japan.
