Plum Blossoms in Tokyo 2015/3/11 20:07
I was wondering about the progress of plum blossoms in Tokyo. Is it too late? I know the red/pink ones usually bloom before white. I am thinking about going this weekend. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hmm... my "go-to" place is usually Yushima Tenjin, and their plum festival finished on the 8th this year. But I bet you'll still be able to see plenty of flowers if you go this weekend!

Hanegi Park in Setagaya ended on the 10th, so that's even closer.

I think generally most of the festivals ended around the 10th, but that doesn't mean you wont be able to see any trees! Another option is to go outside of Tokyo to a bit higher elevation, like Ibaraki, Tochigi, or Gunma.
