Aloha
WE will be arriving Kansai late evening and will be staying at a hotel near the airport in Wakayama.My question is can I pickup the pass at the airport upon arrival and have it activate the next day with out going back to the airport. the way I read the rules I would burn a day of the pass by recieving it late in the day.
Mahalo in advance for any help.

Yes, but it depends on what time you'll arrive as you'll have to do it while the JR offices are still open.
