Cycle Trip Osaka to Tokyo 2015/4/12 09:08
Hi, here is a link to a map we plan to cycle from the 14th of July to the 30th of July.

We would love any input of places to see along the way and nice bike routes / trails / path / walking routes along the way.

we are camping and couch surfing the whole way

Skipped "Nara" before Kyoto?
Nara is same important histric city of Japan like Kyoto.

Also "GujoHachiman(night fes)" in Gifu before Nagoya?

Gujo dance is fun. (fes peak are mid Aug and dancing over nights)

However, basically that dates not good(best) for cycle trip long rides usual.
BC until mid July still rainy season "tsuyu" not overed
and if already overed but hot summer temp(over 30℃ usual) coming next
with high humidities and evening heavy rain(sometime lightining) makes hard/stuck.
Watch weather forecast carefully.

In Japan a lot of driver/mortorcylist diriving/tourist record vids on YouTube.
Nationl Roads are "Kokudou[国道]" add road numbers with locations seaching eazier.

This is Shiojiri pass to Okaya city in Nagano. https://youtu.be/PBsm46vklmU
Street view also works most but not smart checking road coditions in short time.

And don't forget study basic traffic rules and signs pls!
