I am joining Kyoto university to study Medical for 2 years and will be reaching Kyoto in June 2015. Wondering if there are Indians in Kyoto? Wondering if there are Indian grocery stores in Kyoto? If so, please share.

Hi,

Welcome to Japan, as far as indian are concerned, there are few in Kyoto, but around Tokyo & Osaka they are in Large numbers,

For Indian Grocery, Generally physical stores are in mentioned area above, for your area you need to order Online, (above 8000 yen delivery charges will be waived,)

please Contact Vikram who run shop in Kawasaki, But take order online (http://khanakhazanaa.in/)

One more renowned store is Indo Bazzar in Kamata,
Both are reliable & we all Indians use to order from them,
http://indobazaar.com/

You can contact to your Uni area for more info on Indian students,

PS- i will advice to bring spices & few other grocery stuff from India, for 1st few weeks, Rest in japan you will get all veggies,
