Japan Rail Pass or?

I am going to Japan for 9 days. 4 days in Tokyo and 5 days in Kyoto and Osaka. is it worth to get the rail pass, suica or is there any better option i should go for?

If you are flying in and out of Tokyo, the 7 day pass is slightly cheaper (without any other side trips).

I am flying to Tokyo but leaving from Osaka

dont need to get jr pass, just use the ic card in town. for leaving from tokyo to kyoto u can use shinkansen or overnight bus (much cheaper n save the accomodation)

Just Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka and in Tokyo and out Osaka? Then you probably don't need the Japan Rail Pass.

But if you are planning to also go to say Nikko, Kawaguchi, Kamakura, Hiroshima and others, then its a maybe. It depends on your schedule.
