What's the largest stadium in Japan? worldofstadiums.com a lot of Japanese stadiums, the Nissan Stadium seems to be the largest football stadium in Japan.

Yes, Nissan(Yokohama) studium about 72000 seats is the largest
as for pure sports(not only football) and other events music concert and more.

for Tokyo Olympic 2020 main stadium opening ceremony and more.

Except that those plans were scrapped as of July 2015. Currently they are working on getting new design submissions, so building will be delayed.
