3-pin to 2-pin adapter

I bought a pair of (70W) speakers here in Japan and they come with 3-pin power cords.
As far as I know, there aren't too many 3-pin (grounded) outlets in Japanese houses. However, it seems some home appliances are sold with 3-pin cords which.
Is it okay to use a 3-pin to 2-pin adapter for my speakers in my apartment? Image: http://s21.postimg.org/4qijd1x1z/Photo_on_10_31_15_at_2_07_PM.jpg

If you connect the third wire to ground, you can expect better sound.

The ground wire connector is hardly seen these days in new houses. If you have the connector in your house, connect it, if you don't have it, it alright.
