Where to buy soft gel pens and pencils? 2015/11/12 01:23
Hi, I've always been a fan of the Japanese pens and pencils with the gel-like handle you grip on. I was wondering where in Tokyo or Osaka can I buy these pens or pencils? Is there a popular stationary store here?

Thank you!

Maybe Tokyu Hands will have them. They have stores in most major cities.

If Tokyo Hands does not have what you want, you might try The LOFT store in Shibuya, they have a large stationery department also.

You can also try the stationary section of the Yodobashi in Akihabara.

If in Tokyo, Ito-ya is a must visit place if you are in the market for pens.

They have an amazing selection of everything stationary/office supply related and much, much more. I could spend hours here!

Here is a link to their website (although it is in Japanese):

I believe they have just relocated from the Ginza location that they occupied for many years.

Have fun :)

I second Itoya, was one of the best stationary shops I've visited. Tokyu Hands, Loft, and book stores/book sections of other stores are also great for everyday stationary.
