I know the first person says something like "I knew he/she was shady", but what is saying the other person?

After all, this one is suspicious.
But this one is too obvious, don't you this is supposed to trick you?

Yes! Actually. I was having a big deal with understanding "横で", mainly because it was also hard to read so I wasn't even so sure about the kanji.
