How to handle mail when moving to Japan? 2016/1/15 13:30
For those of you who have made the move from the USA to Japan- what did you do with your mail (change of address) and forwarding?

I don't think USPS forward postal mails to an overseas address; you will probably need to give them a US address (c/o your family, relative, friend, etc.) to forward to, then that person can forward things to you in Japan (at a cost of course).

There are companies that specialize in (international) mail forwarding. There's a form to fill out and such, so make sure to give yourself enough time to take care of it in advance of your leaving.

US Global Mail is one, but I'm sure there are plenty others.
