I will go to Japan between 24 July to 29 August, I would like to be in any otaku event but I don't find it. Could you help please? Thanks!

If comiket is too crowded for you, you could try attend comitia instead: http://www.comitia.co.jp/However, unlike comiket, you will need to buy the event's catalogue called Tia's Magazine as entry ticket and all works sold in the event are original works which are mostly manga and illustration books.
