How long should I go to Japan for?

I've been planning on going to Japan for a few years now and my original plan was to go Oct 2016 to Japan for 2 years at a JLS but I delayed it to January and now I may delay it again till April and do business after that, but now everyone is giving opinions on what I should do and they said I should go for 1 year because it would be better for me, etc. I really want to go for 2 years but I don't know what to do.
So I'm pretty much saying I'm lost right now haha.
Any advice?

Don't pay too much attention to what people say (including people on this forum). If you want to gofor 2 years, go for 2 years. Whether your stay will be a pleasant one has much more to do with your spirit and attitude than with its length.
