looking for a mountain stream near Kyoto

I am a fly rodder from Vancouver. Usually I fish for sea going rainbow trout (steelhead) in rivers, when they return to spawn. Today is May 6 I am in Kyoto. I bought a tenkarra rod from Sansui when I was in Tokyo and my mission is to catch an Amago with it. Can someone suggest an accessible river in the area that I can accomplish my challenge?
