My brother and I will be in Tokyo for 9 days,
I did some research and a pocket wifi seems more convient for our phones and laptops.
any recommendations to which one to get ?

I always go with ToCoo, as they're the cheapest I've found. Never had an issue with them.
There are several companies available; just do a quick Google search and you'll have plenty to choose from!

I also used globaladvancedcomm during my last trip and the 3G worked fine for me. I mainly used it for google maps and looking up restaurant reviews. I arrived in Japan on a late flight and was not able to pick it up at the airport, but they delivered it to a nearby post office which was convenient.
