Hi!! Ill be studying at Japan soon for my undergraduate degree however it seems like my phone is not compatible with the country's system thus I will have to buy a new phone with a contract?
I was wondering about good phone packages (internet is a must) and which company I should go for as most websites are in Japanese :'( I have a really hard time navigating.
Ive heard good things about softbank and docomo.
Thanks in Advance!

"Best" is subjective; what are your criteria? Also, most modern phones do work inJapan.

I recommend you to get SIM card from MVNO company. IIJ, OCN, Freetel, Biglobe ... etc. It is cheaper than 3 carries (docomo, KDDI,Softbank)
