I'm going to study abroad in japan next year and I was wondering if I would stand out. I am 5'5" (168-ish cm) and 97lbs (43kg). Also, wich size would I have in Japan? In Belgium I have a 34-36 and I think that is about size xs-s in the US (I'm not sure). Thanks for helping me out

I'd say no, you're gonna be smaller than a lot of the girls there size wise. My fiance is about 5.4 and weights around 46kg, and she's a small in GU and Uniqlo which tends to be a bit more slim and trendy.

I'm 5 feet exactly and weight 50kg, and I was an extra small/small and a 36 in pants in Japan. I found that Japanese stores frequently used European sizing, so it should be reasonably easy for you to find your size.
