Hi, I'll be going to Japan for 6 months and I'd like to use my Redmi Noe 3 Pro there. But with a japanese cellphone number, meaning a sim card that is japanese. Will it work? Thank you :)

do some research on what bands are available on your phone and what is available in japan, then you know.

Most one-time SIM cards sold for travelers use NTT Docomo as a carrier. Redmi Note 3 Pro supports Docomo's main bands, but not all of the bands they are using. In cities like Tokyo, Osaka, or a city which has a bullet train station, you won't have a trouble. But if you're planning to go to suburban areas, you might experience "no carrier".
