Hi,
Can I check if there is any ruling in Japan that all luggages must be store in the boot and in the front passenger seat.
Trying to book for a car in Kumamoto but the cars available are all compact cars. Our travelling party consist of 2 adults and 1 child sitting on car seat, We will have 2 big luggages. The car being offered is Mazada Demio

No worries, you can store luggage anywhere in the car as long as it is not obstructing your ability to drive safely.
