Sony Xperia Z1 a compatible data sim card 2016/10/17 22:15
Hey guys,
I apologise if this is a silly question, but I have a Sony Xperia Z1 model C6903 and I'm wondering if it's compatible with various data sim cards in Japan.

I've read that Xperia Z1 f SO-01F (Android 4.2.2) is a tested and compatible device. Is this the model that is used exclusively in Japan? Do you know if I can use my phone also?

Thank you!!

Maybe a little bit late answer. But i've used my (European) xPeria Z1 with a sim card from Sakura mobile (which uses the DoCoMo network) and had no problems whatsoever. As a bonus and contrary to my expectations i even had a decent connection even in the more rural areas. 4G most of the time. And i've crossed the entire country from Hokkaido to Kagoshima and even Okinawa. :-)

Try this site:
https://www.econnectjapan.com/compatibility
It gives a list of smartphones (including Z1's) that are compatible with the econnect data only sims.

Have a nice trip
