MawX , did you actually look at the app that you posted?
The Tokyo section of the app only includes Kamakura, and it's simply reproductions of pages from the printed guidebook, much too small to read on a phone screen.
Possibly the worst travel app ever! (Also you have to register and give them your email address in order to use the app.)

I saw these at one of the large Tsutaya bookstore in my area. I would search for the larger bookstores in your area and just go see if they carry them! Kinokuniya in Shinjuku is also known for having a big English book selection... maybe call and ask them? Also, some stores allow you to order if they carry but are out of stock, so you might just need to search around a little bit.

Thanks MawX, Umami Dearest, Scarredragon and Luisjp for your answer. I think I will try directly in the bookshop in Tokyo!

Try to visit any bookstores with higher rates of travelers from abroad; such as ones in/near NRT, HND, TCAT, or YCAT. I have found even a Fodor's Japan Guide at the bookstore in Basta Shinjuku, a newly built bus terminal on the JR Shinjuku station.
