Round Trip by road from Shikuoka

Hi,

Could you folks suggest a good 2 day driving round trip by rented car from Shikuoka? Im asking for round trip ideas so I can save on One Way Drop off charges.

Im not interested in visiting too many shrines or any of the touristy stuff and am looking for an off beat experience where I can see rural Japan, I like nature and good food

Hi Poco, thank you so much for your reply. Im planning to land in Osaka on 30th night spend new years and then do the drive from 1st morning and return the car on 2nd late night.

Also the google maps routes in the links you gave are not displaying, could you pls list out the places here, thanks!

I think Iya Valley can be an option. It's a off the beaten track place, and it might take 3 - 4 hours by car from Osaka.
