Bus from Yamagata Station to Zao Onsen

Hi, I am planning to go to Zao Onsen in Feb 2017. May I know how to go about buying ticket for bus from Yamagata Train Station to Zao Onsen? Do I buy ticket on the bus itself after boarding the bus or do I buy at a counter? If at a counter, where is the location of the counter, and also the location of the bus stop? Can I buy upon reaching Yamagata Station or do I have to make reservation in advance? If reservation is required, how do I do it? Any website or phone number? Here is the bus schedule I found from internet http://www.zao-spa.or.jp/english/access/I'm bringing my elderly parents and it would be difficult for me to go about searching for places, that's why I need to find out specifically how to get to ticket counter & bus stop, how to buy ticket, etc. Also, it is a once in a lifetime kind of trip for them, I hope nothing would go wrong.
