Tottori Markets 2017/1/15 00:41
Hi.
I see on a map there are two seafood markets near Tottori city :
- Wattaina local food market
- Karoichi seafood market

1) Does anyone know their opening days and times in June ?
Any website links ?

2) Are the produce there any good ?
In terms of freshness, price and variety

3) Are there any other markets that are worth exploring in or near Tottori ?
We will have a car, so can travel a bit.

Thanks.

Wattaina opens everyday, from 10:00 to 17:00.

Karoichi does not show opening days, perhaps it is the mall with some shops/restaurants. But I believe Karoichi by itself is open everyday, because it is just next to Wattaina which opens everyday.

Sorry, I don't know. In general these types of "markets" are very common in these 20 years in Japan and of course we have the same kind in my neighborhood in Kagoshima which I like very much. But I must say something is nice while others are not so good. Just go there and see the product by yourself. In general, good products tend to be sold out early so you should go before noon.

Google "鳥取 道の駅”. There are many "farmer's market" places along the road.

Enjoy your trip!
