Vegetarian meal in Lake Toya

My family and I will be staying at Granvillage Toya Daiwa Ryokan Annex end of May and some are vegetarians. I checked and could not find any vegetarian restaurants in Lake Toya area. May I ask the restaurant to prepare dishes WITHOUT meat, fish, all types of seafood, onion and garlic? If yes, how am I going to tell the cook in Japanese? Please help. Thank you and have a nice day.

You can absolutely give special handling requests to the kitchen. Understand though that some dishes simply aren't a dish without the protein component (braised clams for instance). Go to your hotel concierge or front desk and ask them to write "vegetarian, no meat or fish on a card" in Japanese.
