These are my preliminary itinerary, after some shuffling.
Day 1- Land in Kansai at 3pm ish. Staying in Shin-Osaka, doing Namba/Dotonbori. Day 2 - Take early morning train to Fukuoka. Explore the city. Staying in Hakata. Day 3 - Fukuoka. Explore the city. (Is there a side trip I should do?) Day 4 - Hiroshima Bound. Explore the city-May visit Miyajima. Day 5- Hiroshima again. Truly explore the city and visit iwakuni. Day 6 -Kyoto -Kobe and Himeji day trip today, Hatsumode in Kyoto at Fushimi Inari Taisha/ Kiyomizu Dera at night. Day 7 - Staying in Kyoto- New Year cruising around Kyoto - Day 8 -Osaka bound. Do USJ, and other landmarks again. Day 9- Fly Home at 11 am
I will be purchasing the Sanin Area Pass and activating on day two. My question is, which passes do I need? Kansai Thru Pass? Osaka Amazing Pass? Kansai One Pass?
Please Help

You don't really need any of those, except maybe the Kansai One Pass (which isn't really a pass, just a ICOCA IC card that gets you modest discounts at a bunch of places.) An IC card is convenient to have, though how much you actually save will depend on how many of the discounted attractions you plan on visiting.
