Returning to Japan for ESL 2017/7/19 06:30
Hello,

Having previously taught in Japan, I have some documents I've been looking at for a while that say they'll be needed when I go back to work again in Japan. For example:

My Number. I understand what this number is for, but who would I show it to (if I even have to)? Would an employer ever need to see this number?

Certificate of Employment Insurance. Is this document only for applying for unemployment, or would it be needed for something else? Would I ever need this to get another job?

Thanks!

The national ID number ("My Number"): yes, your employer will need it.

I believe this is for unemployment insurance, but if you once were enrolled in it, it is better to keep it (so that the next time you get employed in Japan, you can sign up with the same number).
