Shin-Kobe Ropeway

I was wondering, for the round trip ticket on the ropeway, is there any variation to how you can ride? For example, we'd like to head to the top station, wander down over a couple hours to the middle station, then take it from there back to the top for night views.

Is this possible or is it direct bottom-top then return top-bottom only?

The round trip ticket enables you to get on/off whenever you like on the day "between the Middle Station and the Top Station".
Just need to make sure the time table on the day not to miss the last ropeway from the Top Station because they might change the schedule due to weather or some special events etc.
