Hi,
I am planing a trip to Japan from 15 Feb-22 February 2018 and would greatly appreciate your advice on the best itinerary and how to go about booking tours/bus seats reservations in Zao.
Itinerary (I will get the JR, 7 days pass)
1. I want to go to Tokyo, Takayama and Zao. What is the best route, Tokyo-Zao-Takayama or Tokyo-Takayama-Zao?
2. If I book a hotel near Yamagata JR station, are there any activities or shops nearby? What time does the shop close in February?

3. How do I make bus seat reservations from JR Yamagata station to Zao Onsen? What time is the last bus back to JR Yamagata station?
4. How can I make reservation for heated snow mobile to view snow monsters?
5. Are there any day tour operator in Zao Onsen?
6. Can I see snow monsters from 16-18 February 2018?
