Japan railpass in Costa Rica?

Hi!I am wondering if I can buy a Japan railpass in Costa Rica, San Jose, where in that case? Otherwise I will have a transit in Chicago, is it possible to buy the railpass there?//Cecilia

It might happen you have to contact an address in USA. Transit in Chicago ( at the airport? ) is not sufficient. Did you already contact an IATA travel office in San Jose CR?
