From Manza onsen to Shibatouge 2017/12/3 14:21
Hello,

I will be driving for this trip. I understand that route 292 has a section that is closed in winter. Thus, one has to make a detour to get to Karuizawa and up north towards Nagono to Shibatouge (http://shibatouge.com/). Would this be doable in 1 day?

Why Karuizawa? You have to go over the highland between Manza and Karuizawa. Go along a train route. Trains could not go over steep slopes. So I would take an eastern route to Numata. Snow could not be predictable. But twice the Google estimate would be too much, I hope.
