Okinawa in April - Main island or Ishigaki?

Hello!
We are looking for a short time destination for our honeymoon as part of our 1-month trip to Japan.
We have something like 3-3.5 days for spending in Okinawa. We are coming from Osaka in Mid April, so there are (affordable) flights to Naha or Ishigaki.
What are we looking for? mainly relaxing. Beautiful beaches, snorkelling, and such. We also wish to spend our time there is a somewhat luxury hotel/resort.
Our current thinking is towards Okinawa main island - rent a car to explore it, and hop on to the neighbour islands as 1-2 day trips.
But we did see that Ishigaki is considered more remote and off the beaten path. So we would love to hear your thoughts.
