Lake Toya and Noboribetsu in one day?

Is it possible to do Lake Toya and Noboribetsu in one day from Hakodate? or is it better to visit them 1 day each or both in one day and stay in Noboribetsu?

Both aren't really day trips considering the travel trim from Hakodate. 2.0-2.5 hrs from Hakodate.
Toya Station is about middle point between Hakodate and Sapporo. Noboribetsu is 30 minutes closer to Sapporo.
Toya station from Lake Toya is 20-30 minute bus ride also from memory.
If one was visiting Sapporo and Hakodate as part of a Hokkaido trip, I'd stop and do an overnighter along the way to visit Lake Toya and Noboribetsu.
