Meiji restoration and Samurai

What were the political, social and cultural changes that occurred during the meiji restoration?
I want to know, how did this time affect to the SAMURAIculture, what did they have to change and how did they adapt...

I am pretty sure that a lot of books have been published on this topic. A search at a well experienced library (eg history section of your local university) should bring up heaves.
