Go to your local city hall (shiyakusho) or branch office in Japan. Take I.D. and a little money. Wait a few minutes while they issue you a juminhyo.

If you have a photo ID "My Number Card" with an IC chip in it, you can also go to machines, such as at some convenience stores, and get such Japanese documents.

How to get copy of Juminhyo .

You can usually obtain it at the kuyakusho of your official residency as well as at gyosei-service-corners.

And how long to wait copy ?

A few minutes.

This copy come to my home ?

I don't understand what you mean, but you're free to take your copy home.

What shi and ku do you live in? Perhaps someone can check further details for you.

The other post came in just as I was posting mine. Just for your information, I don't think Yokohama-shi residents like me can obtain juminhyo at the shiyakusho. It depends on the shi you live in.

Re: Copy of Juminhyo 2018/1/30 19:20
Is there any reason to not write a thanks coments for above answers at first???
so I do not feel very well, but will write it only for others.

Juminhyo(住民票) is one of important document, (copy is 写し utsushi)
so basically you must go to city/ward/town/village hall(役所 yakusyo) including branches(支所 shisho),
(if no busy, you can get it under 10 min, one copy fee is around 300Y usual)

Many cities are using vending machine (called 自動交付機 jido-kofu-ki)
that stands on major rail stations, bus terminals, larger shopping malls, conveniece stores and more,
http://kk-information.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/kk-information_20...
(maybe no EN menu button, but you can call by handset=受話器 juwaki)
However, for using vending machine, you must get own card for this and more.
(Many Japanese now using new system "My Number Card".)

Mail delivery (郵送 yuso) is also limited,
some big cities, if you apply(申請 shinsei) in advance(事前 jizen) by call,
you can receive it at city hall out of business hours couter(時間外窓口 jikan-gai madoguchi).
Also only some big cities you can use online, called 電子申請(denshi-shinsei).

If already you got yr "My Number Card",
it may be fastest at nearest convenience store, even at out of yr town.

https://www.lg-waps.jp/01-00.html

Anyway, you should read and search yr town hall web first ASAP.
Mostly that info written in くらし kurashi = life or 住民課 (jumin-ka = resident section) pages.
Finding it not so hard, use translate function if with or Google translate.

WHERE do you live? What ku? What shi? For example, do you live in Minato-ku, Tokyo?

To maxlove,

Thank you for your response. The details are shown as follows:
http://www.city.yokohama.lg.jp/shimin/madoguchi/koseki/jyuminhyou.html

Go to any kuyakusho in Yokohama-shi during 8:45-17:00 on weekdays.
Or you can go to one of the gyosei-service-corners which are located in stations Tsurumi, Shin-Yokohama, Yokohama, Hiyoshi, Kami-Oooka, Nagatsuda, Konandai, Azamino, Futamatagawa, Totsuka, Kanazawa-bunko, and Higashi-Totsuka.

Show them your official ID such as your passport.

You must pay 300 yen.

You must fill out this form. (You can pick up the form at the kuyakusho or gyosei-service-corner too.)
http://www.city.yokohama.lg.jp/shimin/madoguchi/koseki/jyuminhyo.pdf

Then you can get your copy right there.

By the way, you say you "lost" your copy, but you don't always have to have a copy at home as long as you have a passport.

Re: Copy of Juminhyo 2018/1/31 11:48
I certainly don't have a copy of my juminhyo and I only get copies as I need them (Y200 at my local city office, but i note the above suggest Yokohama might be Y300). As others have said, takes a few minutes - might be longer if the office is busy or you have to join a queue.

Do you have a particular need for a copy?
