Juniko Bus availability

Hi,

Does anyone know in which period the Juniko bus service is available? The japan-guide says from April to late November, but as far as I see, some sites in Hokkaido don't open until late or mid - April and we plan to do the hike in the lakes on the 12th

Last year the buses operated from April 14 to November 30. The dates for 2018 have not been published to their website yet:

Are you talking about Juniko, 十二湖駅, in Aomori Prefecture?
Yes, there are taxis, but a small number from the station. If you are visiting the lakes, be sure to ask the driver to wait, or else it would be a long walk back.

yes, I asked becasue it looks like out of season there is no transportation

We don't mind walking to and from the route, is it possible? according to the maps, it looks like it's a road with no margins. I saw that walking should take about 1 hr and a half
