Japan Explorer Pass only one way possible?

Hello, is it possible to book only one flight with the Japan Explorer Pass? On the JAL-site it seems to be I have to book a return flight. But on japan-guide it say "Validity 1-5" ( https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2364.html) Is that information wrong or I'm to stupid to book :) ? best regards foxmind

Pretty sure they are only one way, as each discounted flight needs to be booked separately. At least that was when I looked a year or two ago.
