Tokyo : lodging in Ueno/Asakusa 2005/4/28 21:21
hello, I look for a nice, quiet and cheap lodging in Tokyo.
Did anybody try (or heard about)
Suzuki Ryokan
Andon Ryokan
Kikuya Ryokan

Is Taito Ryokan really noisy ?

All other ideas are welcome

Thank you in advance

I have always stayed at the Sawanoya ryokan in Ueno. It's a little hard to find, but it's the cheapest place in Tokyo.

Try Toyoko Inns ? 2005/5/1 08:58
Hi Marina,
I don't know what your budget is, but you may want to consider Toyoko Inn hotel group. They have a couple in the Asakusa ares and according to their website their availability looks OK.
Their website - www.toyoko-inn.com - there is an English site there.
Good luck !

asakusa area 2006/4/3 14:10
we just got back from spending a fortnight in Tokyo. Spent 4 nights total at Toyoko Inn - Asakusa Komagata. Just a few minutes away from Kaminarimon Gate, and has two metro station nearby. Though room is small (we booked a double room at 8,820/night) it's comfy enough for us and our 3 yr old.

Help me please!

I can not contact to the hotel. What is the semi-double room? Can 2 persons share the room? Is the rate of 4800 Yen per room or per person?

Thanks
