I've only done Miyajima as a daytrip. It's a small island. Staying a night might be cool though, and Im sure a site like Booking.com or Hotels.com will have some options to explore.

It's really nice overnight - barely anyone about late afternoon and early morning.
We stayed at Grand Hotel Arimoto, it was really good.

We stayed at Miyajima Morinoyado Inn. Room is big and lovely. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious. Choose an ocean-facing room. You can also arrange for free pick-up from the ferry terminal. The hotel price is very reasonable.

Those are unrelated, since the first ferry arrives around 6:35 and the last departs 22:14. No need to stay overnight to be there in the early morning or evening.
