Kaga Onsen Canbus 2018/3/20 15:10
Hi,

We want to go to Yamanaka Onsen as a day trip from Kanazawa. The Canbus goes to Yamanaka only 4 times a day.

Are taxis available from Yamashiro Onsen (Kikyogaoka)?

Is it possible to walk from Yamashiro Onsen (Kikyogaoka) to Yamanaka Onsen?

Hashitate Fishing Port looks interesting. Any thoughts, insight?

Thanks, PH

There's no requirement to take the canbus. You can also take a regular local bus, but it requires a bit more "homework" to figure out when&where they stop. Bus routes an be found via google maps as well.

Certainly. If there isn't an available one around, the area has a few taxi stands. Google maps knows where exactly:

If you're up for it ;)
It's about an hour to walk. I personally consider that well within reason if the weather holds up.

Sorry, can't help you there. I opted for the Natadera Temple in Kagaonsen, which is brilliant.

Hi Thany,

Thanks for your replies, very helpful.

We are not good with local buses unless they are in highly visited tourist areas. We do not read Japanese and many times have failed to get off at the right stop, and end up with a pleasant tour of the town :)

One hour walk is fine with us too, but taxi info is helpful.

Thanks, PH
