World heritage pass does not cover from Kyoto to Namba or Namba to KIX, so Kansai Thru pass is better. As for travel from Kyoto to Himeji, the fastest way is to take Shinkansen (44 min, 4750 yen one way). If you take JR West Kansai Area Pass 1day,

It costs 2200 yen and you can take JR special rapid train, 100 min.

If you buy Kansai thru pass 3 day, you pay additional 1200 yen for 1 day (as compared to Kansai thru pass 2 day) and can do the trip via non JR trains.

It will take 50 min more as compared to JR special rapid though.
