website to use for booking Shirakawago stay

Hi

Just want to check if it is safe to use the following websites to book Stay at Shirakawago?

http://www.shirakawa-go.gr.jp

Is it normal that most of the Grassho Ryokans will accept books only 6 months in advance and some 2-3 months in advance?

Both those sites are reputable & the second one is the official Shirakawago website. Only accepting reservation 3 or 6 months in advance is not at all unusual for many hotels in Japan. In fact I am waiting for the end of the month when reservations will become available for my next trip in November.
